Dear members of the Taiwanese semiconductor industry, and visiting delegates from the Netherlands:

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the “Netherlands Semiconductors Week” taking place alongside SEMICON Taiwan 2023. This year, the Dutch participation at this important industry event is bigger than ever. From the Netherlands, almost 50 participants across three delegations – business, government, and innovation – are joining “Team Semicon NL.”

For the Dutch delegates, this visit provides an unparalleled opportunity for them to maintain close relations with Taiwanese policymakers, to gain an understanding into the processes by which policies are formulated, and to initiate new collaborations in the field of semiconductors.
In this regard, mature technologies such as front and back-end machines, RF and radar technology, metrology, testing technology; as well as innovative (KET) technologies in photonics, integrated circuits (PIC), and advanced packaging are among the topics that are of special interest to the Netherlands.

Together with my colleagues at the Netherlands Office in Taipei, I am honored to facilitate continued interactions between the Dutch and Taiwanese semiconductors communities. I am confident that with the series of activities my office has planned, the vising delegates will be able to reinforce existing relationships and forge new partnerships with their counterparts in Taiwan.
